Rev. Lee Fox
Rev. Lee Fox is a native of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and most recently served in Washington, D.C. Lee is a graduate of Carson-Newman University with a B.A. in Religion and History and a graduate of George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University with an M.Div in Theology.
Lee has pastored churches in Tennesee and Texas and was most recently the Director of Support Ministries at The First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, D.C.
Lee and his wife Robin enjoy reading, hiking, camping, travel, and music. They are Tennessee Volunteer fans first and Baylor/Carson-Newman fans an equal second. They have one grown son, Justin, who lives in Pigeon Forge.
Dr. Clark Measels
Minister of Music and Worship
Dr. Clark Measels serves as Director of the Ball Institute for Church Music at Carson-Newman College. Clark has served most of the years since college as a full-time, part-time, or interim music minister. That work has included churches in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky.
For four years he was Editor of Publications for the Baptist Church Music Conference. He also served as an educational representative for that organization for four years. Recently, he has been a member of the Text and Tunes Committee for the hymnal Celebrating Grace by Mercer Press. His book, Music Ministry: A Guidebook, was published by Smyth & Helwys Publishers. His studies include degrees in musicology, church music, and vocal performance.
Clark is married to Rev. Nenette Measels, Carson-Newman Campus Minister, and they are privileged to live with two amazing cats.
Minister of Children
Katie serves as our Minister of Children, and she is also the director of our Parents' Day Out and preschool program.
Minister of Youth and Education
Jonathan Higdon is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and in 2016 moved back to Knoxville from Waco, Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (by way of UT Knoxville) with a B.A. in Communication, and a graduate of George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University with an M.Div. in Theology. Jonathan has served student ministries in Nashville and Knoxville, as well as in Waco and Gatesville, Texas.
Jonathan enjoys watching movies, reading, traveling, and attending concerts. His first sports love will always be the Tennessee Titans, but he also loves the Vols. He is an avid soccer fan, and supports Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League—even though they always seem to let him down.
Thea joined Ball Camp Baptist Church in 1998 and has been church pianist since 2002. Over the years she has enjoyed playing for Ball Camp’s wonderful choir, many talented soloists and various groups.
Thea is married to Rusty and they have two children, Jake and Zak. In her spare time, she loves watching sports, reading Sci-Fi, and being outdoors. She is a staff accountant at Elliott Davis Decosimo, LLC.
Road Worship Leader
Bailey has been a member of Ball Camp Baptist Church his entire life. He has served the church in many roles including his current one as the Road Worship Leader. Bailey is a 2009 graduate of Carson-Newman College and also teaches music at Ball Camp Elementary School.
Bailey is married to Hannah Chambers and they have two beautful girls, Ella Grace and Nora Kate.
Tina came to Ball Camp in February of 2009. During that time she has served as organist and was Interim Pastor of Worship for 15 months. A graduate of Carson-Newman College with a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music and Vocal Performance, she is an ordained minister and has served in several churches as Minister of Music during her career.
Tina enjoys singing locally with the Knoxville Choral Society and Knoxville Chamber Chorale. She has two children, Jay and Emily. Jay lives in Alpharetta, Georgia, and Emily is pursuing her Master’s degrees at Truett Seminary and Baylor University.
